Open to the public, the event gives residents, businesses and local community groups of New Addington and Fieldway the opportunity to meet members of the Croydon Partnership team, find out more about the over £1billion investment into the town centre, and answer any questions about the re-development.
The event is the latest in a series of rolling community drop-in sessions which will take place across Croydon’s 23 wards over the coming months.
The roadshow forms a central part of the “Partners in the Town” component of the Croydon Partnership’s Community Plan, which aims to ensure regular dialogue with residents and local businesses and community groups across Croydon as the scheme progresses.
Joining the Croydon Partnership at the event were representatives from Croydon Police’s local Safer Neighbourhoods team, who are working closely alongside the Partnership as part of the redevelopment plans to help make the town centre a safer place to work and visit, through the Safer Croydon Partnership.
The event was also attended by representatives of Croydon Council’s Food Flagship programme, which is promoting the importance of a balanced, nutritious diet across the borough.
