Croydon based digital design agency develops website for Croydon Partnership following local tender process

The Croydon Partnership, the joint venture between Westfield and Hammerson which is set to redevelop Croydon’s retail centre, has launched a new website, which has been designed by local agency Sleeptwitch.

The new website, which can be found at http://thecroydonpartnership.com provides up-to- date news on the redevelopment and its progress, with a live link to the Croydon Partnership twitter feed.

The site also provides information on a host of community events, with bursaries and awards invested in local groups and charitable organisations in and around Croydon.

Westfield and Hammerson, who are investing £1.4 billion to transform Croydon’s retail centre into a world class retail and leisure destination, appointed Matthews Yard-based web-designers Sleeptwitch following a competitive tender process involving six Croydon-based agencies.

Led by 29 year old Managing Director Chris Howson, Sleeptwitch is well entrenched in the local business community, counting Just Croydon and Opportunity Croydon among its clients, and is also an integral part of the pioneering Croydon Tech City community.

Steve Yewman, Development Director, Westfield and Croydon Partnership said: “Croydon has a strong local digital business community and the Croydon Partnership is focussed on supporting local talent. Finding a local agency with an entrepreneurial spirit which is ingrained in the Croydon business and social community was paramount and Sleeptwitch certainly meets the criteria.”

Carolyn Kenney, Development Director, Hammerson and Croydon Partnership said: “Croydon has a strong reputation as a tech hub and as this continues to evolve we wanted to utilise local talent as part of our wider commitment to the local supply chain. It is important to us that we are able to keep people updated on our progress and the site will allow us to do that this year and as we look to start construction in 2017.”

Chris Howson from Sleeptwitch said: “Living and working in Croydon gives us an enormous amount of pride to be involved with its redevelopment from a digital perspective. We hope the new Croydon Partnership website can provide residents with key information surrounding the development as the town changes and grows over the next few years. We’re excited to be part of it and will always look to continue to work with inspiring individuals and organisations in our local community.”
